She accomplished B.E (Electrical Engineering) from OU College of Engineering, Osmania University, M.Tech (Power Electronics) from JNTU College of Engineering, JNTU Hyderabad and Ph.D from AU College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

She has 23 years of experience in academics, research, and administration. Her research interests include Power Electronics, Power Electronic Control of A.C & D.C drives, Renewable Energy Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Methods. Her research work published in 30 International / National Journals and 25 publications at International/National Conferences. Completed a research project on " Development of Power Sharing Methods for Hybrid Multiple Sub Grids". She published two Indian patents and filed two more international patents  deriving from her research work.. Visited Nanyang Technological University, Singapore,  and NPTI New Delhi to present the papers. Under her guidance 15 M.Tech students got awarded and guiding 10 Ph.D. scholars and several M.Tech/B.Tech. Students.

She worked as Head, Department of Electrical and Electrical Engineering, at JNTUH College of Engineering, Jagityal, Coordinator, Academic Planning, at JNTUH and Deputy Director at UGC-HRDC, JNTUH. In addition,  servied as Coordinator, AICTE – NCCIP, JNTUH,  University Nodal Officer, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, (TSCHE) - MHRD-AISHE , Coordinator for Spoken Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, Nodal Officer for National Digital Payments Mission(NDPM) of UGC-MHRD, New Delhi, and Nodal Officer for UGC’s Students Grievance Redressal Cell, JNTUH etc.

She addressed several guest lectures, conducted 05 International/ National Conferences, 04 Refresher Courses and 12 National Level Symposium/Workshops. She is a Fellow member of Institute of Engineers(I), Senior Member of IEEE, Member of ISTE, MSSI and Core Committee Member, Energy Conservation Mission, Institute of Engineers, Hyderabad . Convenor, co-convenor, Chief Guest and session chair about 30 International and National Technical Events are in her credit. She acts as reviewer and Editorial Member for several International / National Journals.

She received “Out Standing Scientist” award by VIFRA at Chennai in 2015, and “Senior Women Educator and Scholar” award by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development, Coimbatore in 2017. Her passion towards women empowerment leads to work towards the development of women community and addressed several issues at various seminars and workshops. She served as a President, ‘WAVE- Welfare Association of Women Employees, JNTUHCEJ’
