Dr. Sathyanarayana Boodida obtained his Ph. D. from Kakatiya University in 2007. After his Ph.D., he worked as Research Associate (CSIR) at IIT Bombay for three years and one year as Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Hyderabad. He also qualified NET-JRF (UGC) in 2001 and secured UGC-JRF and UGC-SRF in 2002 and 2004 respectively.

He joined this institution in July, 2010 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry. He has put up 09 years of teaching experience and 15 years of research experience.

Apart from his normal duties as Head of the department, he also discharging the responsibilites of Hostal affairs as Hostel Manager and Faculty In-charge of Department of Physical Education. In the past, he also held administratvie positions of NSS Programme Officer, Officer In-charge for Academic Section (OAS). 

As Head of the Department he organized a Two day National conference on Recent Advances in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (NACRACAPS-2015).

As NSS Programme Officer, he was organized three special camps in Pudur, Nachupally and Dabbu Thimmayapally villages along with regular camping activities such as Haritha Haram, Blood Donation Camps, Health camps, Awareness progrmmes on Swacchh Bharath, Right to Information Act (RTI), Right to Vote, etc. 

RESEARCH:

In addition to his active contribution towards administration, he also engaged in research activitties. His research is devoted to the development of novel organic compounds which are biologically active. In paticular, development of straight forward synthetic methodologies for antiproliferativedrugs using molecular hybridisation approach
