JNTUHCEJ which aims to be an institute of excellence in training the students to meet the global needs is supported by highly experienced, well qualified, veteran professors drawn from research and industry. Most of the faculty excel in their respective domains and are renowned for their accomplishment of doctoral and post doctoral degrees. They leave no stone unturned in imparting knowledge and skills to the students. With their commitment and pen chance to groom the students to outshine in academics and improve employability skills to reach their desired destination, the faculty relentlessly dedicate themselves to achieve the vision of the College.

In the process of accomplishing the motto of "achieving excellence" the teachers try to unravel the latent genius in students by providing not only hands on experience but also exposing them to experiential learning under the mentoring and guidance of the experienced teachers.

Additionally, the faculty expose the students to a plethora of Social, Cultural, Intellectual, Recreational opportunities and challenges encountered in their professional lives on / off campus.

Origin of JNTUH
The College was established as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College in 1965 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The College was initially under the administrative control of the Department of Technical Education, and affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. With the formation of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in 1972, it became a constituent college of the University and was renamed as JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad. After being located in temporary buildings, the college was shifted to a hundred acre site at Kukatpally, on the Bombay Highway in 1984 which also houses the main campus of the University.
