Dr. Tirumala Sreekanth obtained his M.Sc. degree in 1996 from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has been awarded Ph.D. from the Osmania University in 2002 under the supervision of Prof. U.V. Subba Rao. The title of the thesis is “Polymer electrolytes thin films and their applications”. He has total 19 years of Teaching & Research experience. After completion of his studies, he worked in various JNTU affiliated Engineering Colleges as Assistant Professor. Later, he joined JNT University as Assistant Professor in the department of Physics in 2006. He discharged the duties of various administrative positions at JNTUH CEJ viz., Head, Dept. of Humanities & Sciences for one year six months; Head, Department of Physics for two years and Officer Academic Section (OAS) for three years.

Dr. Sreekanth also worked at JNTUH College of Engineering Sultanpur as Head, Department of Physics and Chairman, CRC for I-B. Tech for a period of 2 years. He also extended the service as an Officer-In-charge for Transportation and Sports at JNTUH CES. Presently, he is working as Professor in the department of Physics, JNTUH College of Engineering Jagtial. In JNTUH CEJ, he has been discharged duties as Furniture Maintenance Officer (FMO) for a period of two years and Officer-in-charge for Library for a period of one year. Currently, he is the Head, department of Physics and CRC, Chairman, I Year.        

As a researcher Dr. Tirumala published 42 International Journals and 16 Full Papers proceeding in International /National Conferences, Seminars, Symposia etc. He also presented 35 research papers in International /National Conferences, Seminars, Symposia etc. He had given15 Invited talks in various National conferences and workshops. As a Course Coordinator, he organized a Refresher Courses (RC) for a period of three weeks for the faculty of physics at UGC-HRD, JNTUH, Hyderabad. He organized two National Conferences and three National workshops.

Under his guidance several research scholars have been working for their Ph.D. programme and one student awarded with Ph.D. degree. TEQIP-III, JNTUH sanction 2.5 lakh project to him.   He is Life Member of MRSI, ISTE & ISCA. He has been nominated as the Member of Board of Studies for the department of Physics of various JNTUH affiliated colleges. He visited Singapore and Thailand Countries to present research papers in the Conferences.
